Kevin Rowsome is the fifth generation of uilleann pipers / pipe makers in his family he was surrounded with traditional Irish music. Kevin formally started playing the pipes at the age of six under the guidance of his grandfather Leo and father, Leon. Kevin won the prestigious pipes competition at the Oireachtas in 1991. Good man Jack! Really beautiful music - both your own playing and your recording work: those gorgeous albums from Aidan Connolly, Tony McMahon, etc etc, and that amazing tune from Aoife Ní Bhriain. Most highly recommended for lovers of trad or anyone who appreciates real music - it's just astounding what these musicians can do.
